The Three Courts 

SUPREME COURT: The Supreme court of Australia is the highest court in the courts. The Supreme Court deals with crimes that are more than $750.000. The Supreme Court deals with criminal cases including murder, manslaughter, serious drug offences and some more.



DISTRICTS COURT: The District court of Australia is the second highest court in the courts. The District court deals with crimes more than $150.000 and less than $750.000. The District court deals with crime such as armed robbery, and fraud and there is some more.



MAGISTRATES COURT: The Magistrates court of Australia is the lowest court in the courts. The Magistrates court deals with crimes that are less than $150.000. The Magistrates court deals with crime that is not very serious like speeding, talking on the phone when driving and lots more unserious crimes.



CHILDRENS COURT: If you are under 17 years old you cannot be charged for steeling, assault and everything else. 

 

There are lots of courts. There is the Supreme court, District court, Children’s court, Drug court, Magistrates court, Aboriginal community court, Family violence court, Geraldton Family violence court and some more.
